I started Surf The Earth in 1990. I had spent the previous five years either Skiing, Biking, or Surfing some of the best spots in the world which included 5 Winter seasons in the Rockies, extended stays throughout the South Pacific which included the French Polynesian Island, The Cook Island, The Fijian Islands, Australia, Tasmania, New Zealand, Hawaii and a large part of the Pacific Coast of Mexico. Throughout my travels I met a lot of other travelers and most of us realized the importance of good quality gear. My goal when I started Surf The Earth was to make high quality Surf gear that would hold up and last.

Our first year in business we sold Surf The Earth Products which included Boardshorts, T-shirts, Hats, and Stickers to 15 Surf Shops (Most of them guys I had met Traveling).

By the mid 90's we had World Wide Distribution to over 500 Surf Shops which at the time made Surf The Earth one of the largest East Coast Based Surf Companies.

Since 2000 I have slowed distibution down to spend more time with my family, build our Main Retail Location in the heart of Pawleys Island, and Launch the eco tourism side of Surf The Earth which includes our Surf Camps, clinics, paddleboard tours, local kayak trips, and our exclusive North Inlet kayak tour.

It Has been 15 years since I started Surf The Earth and I would like to thank my family, friends, all sponsored athletes, artists, employees, and loyal Customers for giving me a job.
